MultiPoint
ICT in the classroom can be a powerful tool… But only when it is actually working! Students often lose their files, the pc’s are often running different versions of software and students working on the pc often forget to pay attention to the teacher. Costs are usually difficult to assess and can rise to unexpected levels; every workstation is a complete desktop pc that has its own licenses, needs full network access and uses electricity. And then there is the additional cost of managing all these individual workstations.
Economizing
Computers are becoming increasingly powerful. Schools often only use a small fraction of their available computing power. In cooperation with Microsoft Multipoint Server and Lenovo, Seven-Winds has come up with a unique solution: the Seven-Winds MultiPoint. This system distributes the power of one computer among four to eight workstations. Four to eight screens, keyboards and mouse devices will be hooked up to one computer. This means you will not only cut purchase costs - instead of four to eight separate pc’s, you will only have to buy one computer and the necessary hardware - but it is also a solution that makes the management much easier. This is also a more sustainable and environmentally friendly solution; you will use less electricity and generate less heat, which you will also notice on your energy bills.
